Tips for Downloading and Saving YouTube Videos

When you sign up for the YouTube (YT) service you’re required to agree to follow their rules and regulations. Most downloaded programs on the Internet require the same promise — that you’ll play by their rules or not play at all. If you don’t check the little box saying you agree with their terms of service, they won’t let you in. In order to download YouTube videos you must first agree NOT to download them (terms of service forbid it), and then go against your word and do it anyhow.

It’s a pretty good guess that most people don’t take the time to read these long terms of service. They just click the agreement box and get on with the download. It just looks like legal mumbo-jumbo anyway and not that easy to decipher. Maybe you didn’t even know that downloading from YT is illegal, so now you do. It’s like going 2 or 3 miles faster than the posted speed limit — it’s illegal but just about everybody does it.

How many times have your heard, “rules were made to be broken, ” or, “what they don’t know won’t hurt them?” Maybe those adages apply here. But still, that being said, if you copy music or video from YT you’re breaking the rules and subject to the penalties. They include no longer being able to use the service.

There is, however, an exception to the rule. YouTube allows the original poster of a video to download it in the form of an MP4. They’ll only let you do this two or three times before the option disappears, but it comes back eventually and then you can do it again. But if you’re the one who did the upload, you probably already have a copy, so it’s kind of redundant. And it doesn’t make it possible to download someone else’s content.

If you Google the keywords found in this article’s title you’ll find numerous sites which make it possible to download from YT. Some are free but a few have a fee you must pay to use their service. Some are easy to use, requiring that you only put in the URL for the content you wish to download and then pressing the download button. All that’s left to do is to save it and play it.

Other programs are somewhat more involved, with the requirement that you change the name of the file you’ve downloaded and add an extension to the file name. Some of these sites are full of banner ads and pop-ups, which can be distracting to the task at hand. Others are free of ads and seem much easier to navigate.

After testing several of these download sites, the one that was easiest and most hassle free (no pop-ups, etc.)seemed to work best. Just type in (or copy and paste) the URL, click download, save and play your new vid. No problems were encountered and the copy was just a good as the original.

Webinar Tools For Effective Presentations!

There are a few webinar tools you will need to run a professional and effective webinar. Because the effectiveness of your webinar begins with the webinar set up.

Start planning your presentation by creating a webinar set-up sheet. On this sheet, list out the following:

- the GOAL of your webinar (sales, a phone appointment, education, etc.)

- your webinar TITLE (this should be benefit driven)

- what you plan to COVER on your webinar

- your STORY (This is “why” you are qualified to host your webinar.)

- CASE STUDIES (results of how you, or the people you have helped, have solved the “problem”)

- EDUCATION (This is when you can give them some of your best tips and tricks for their business.)

- ROAD BLOCKS to success (obstacles that will keep them from solving the problem)

- CALL TO ACTION (This is where you encourage them to act on what you’ve shown them. Go to your website, buy your product or service, or call for an appointment.)

The second webinar tool is a background template for your powerpoint presentation. When you create your template, include these things:

-background graphic - Create or have someone else create an appealing, memorable graphic that communicates the message of your webinar. Use it as the background graphic on your master slide.

- your picture - Also on your master slide, use a professional-looking picture of yourself. Put it in the top left corner. Seeing a picture of your will help people remember you and your voice.

-bullet points that show up when you click your mouse - Go to the “custom animation” option and have each line on your presentation appear when you click your mouse in the master slide.

- registration web page - You can use the registration page given to you by the webinar hosting company or you can create your own (recommended). Remember to use benefit-driven language to entice them to register for your webinar. “What’s in it for them?”

-an autoresponder - Even after your viewers register, you will want to remind them of the coming webinar. Afterwards, you will definitely want to follow up with each one who attended.
