Mlm Singapore, How To Succeed In Our Modern Era

MLM has been around in Singapore for over 30 years now and previously was frowned upon. However, the market is changing and a lot of young professionals are starting to warm up and get involved with this dynamic industry.

This makes alot of sense as the business model became more and more popular and more modern as time went by. So why do so many people get excited about MLM anyway?

The largest advantage of joining an MLM would be the ability to make more money than most industries can even pay out. Sure it requires work, but the rewards can be astronomical.

Why? Because of its structure and the fact that the remuneration is commission only and is based on performance. The second reason is that it allows the average Singaporean to get out of the corporate rat race. This is huge! Especially in a country where most graduates strive to go corporate, it is a release from the clutches of a modern capitalist society. And of course is also a release from the suit, the politics, the 6 day week and your tiny 3 foot cubicle.

But really, these reasons boil down to two main things - time and freedom. Time to actually enjoy the truckloads of money you worked so hard to make and financial freedom to actually enjoy all that life has to offer.

So we know that MLM is getting very popular and you can make lots of money. Well what about the success rate? Unfortunately the success rate in this business is a measly 3%. That means that 97% of all people that try MLM fail. This is a worldwide statistic and is not isolated to just Singapore. So why is that?

Well, unfortunately most big MLM companies are still stuck in the stone age and train their distributors on the most out of date prospecting techniques. They tell you to make a list of 50 to 100 people you know and go out there are pitch your amazing opportunity. And once you run out of friends and family to speak to, they tell you to cold call, buy crappy leads online and pitch anything with a pulse! Sound familiar?

So it isn’t a surprise that most people end up failing when such ineffective recruitment methods are being taught. It is this very training and traditional methods of marketing of this business that has put a lot of people in a bad position. But is there a better way? Absolutely! What is Attraction Marketing

So, you’ve just launched into or are hunting around for an MLM business or another form of Network Marketing / Direct sales.

What do you do now?

You could try the old school tactics of cold-calling, hassling family members and friends, making lists, the 3 foot rule. But you’ll probably just end up alienating yourself from everyone you know. However there is a new kid on the block these days. Attraction Marketing.

Attraction Marketing? What’s that?

It’s all about magnetically attracting the right people to come to you.

Previously we were all told that everyone is a potential buyer. If you went to party make sure you took some business cards. Don’t enjoy yourself, just spend the whole time hassling people who don’t really care. It simply isn’t true. The sooner you realise the happier your life will be.

Wouldn’t you be better off only approaching people who were actually looking for a business or are interested in making a change in their lives? What if these people approached you first?

Using Attraction Marketing methods, you place yourself around the web so that these people can discover YOU.

Your aim is to put yourself out there and make yourself an expert on a topic of your choice. People will then find you and you will start the relationship by building trust and respect from them to you. They will then see you as someone who can help them gain the personal, financial, or time freedom they have been looking for.

That’s when they approach YOU.

This will put you in a far greater position than if you contacted them first.

The person who makes the initial contact is always going to be in a weaker position. When someone contacts you first, it gives you a position of authority. Making your job much easier. No longer are you trying to convince anyone to join you and your company. You are now interviewing people to see if they are good enough to be a part of your team.

I’m sure you can see why this is such a powerful technique.

The way this all works is by you providing great content.

This is where a lot of people get it wrong. It is not about putting out advertising and sales pitches everywhere you can. That makes you the person making first contact, putting you in the weaker position. You need to put Good stuff, Great stuff, out on the web for people to find that will actually enrich their lives.

Some of you are now thinking that there is nothing you are an expert at.

I gaurantee that you are.

Even if it is “colour variations of Ford’s between 1960-85″; everyone is an expert at something. If you know more about something than most of your family and friends then this will be what you start with.

As you move along you will learn more and be able to provide better and more targeted content.

So grab yourself a cup of coffee, go sit down somewhere quiet and start brainstorming the things you know a lot about.
